Xavier and Jack as kids break my heart in the best way. They were always super close, even before they figured out exactly to what lengths you can play with your food and amassed enough experience points to evolve into some of the wrinkliest Pokemon I’ve ever seen.
Xavier would be about 14-16 here, and that makes Jack 10-12. Max tended to be a shy, quiet type, and Jack was… Jack.
