Ugh there is this thing that's amazing me with this right now. It's like, you know the Minotaur and lady are being all married-couple-like and lovely, you just instantly do. But when I look at the expressions and everything separately, I realize how easy it looks to fuck up that kinda chemistry. It could have looked like it was his secretary, or a maid or something idfk. But it doesn't itsjustsoperfectugh been wantin' to say that.
i really like the texture the dip pen ads to your linework. i attempted to use one years ago, several times, and i just couldnt get used it. i also like their faces a lot, really unique style. looking forward to this series!
The colors are cool, but I think the subject matter is cooler. This reminds me of The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break. It's a weird book about if THE actual minotaur survived into modernity. Both weird and interesting.
I can't get my usual line quality without sacrificing what little volume my sketches tend to have. These things handle so much differently than a pencil or stylus or technical pen. I just gotta get used to thinking differently!
